Outreach

Under this pillar, the Institute will continue to build on the policy advocacy role and dissemination of research outputs to the wider public. The activities IAPRI undertakes will be guided by the following strategic objectives;


Strategic Objective 1


To establish strategic alliances with institutions with similar and complementary mandates;


Over the years of the first strategic plan, IAPRI formed a number of key strategic alliances with the public, private sector and society.


During the 2017-2022 Strategic Plan, the Institute will continue to maintain existing alliances and form new ones in order leverage resources, coverage and, synergies in line with the new Vision and Mission statements. Further, IAPRI staff will continue to sit on various committees and boards to provide agricultural policy technical support.


Strategic Objective 2


To disseminate research findings to stakeholders;


The Institute will continue disseminating empirical research findings to stakeholders using different tools including electronic and print media, meetings, and Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) among others. With regard to ICTs, IAPRI will explore options to increase the use of these tools, funds permitting.


In this strategy, IAPRI will endeavour to increase its outreach footprint to audiences throughout Zambia.


Strategic Objective 3


To use outreach outputs to inform IAPRI research agenda;


As a feedback loop, the Institute will use outreach outputs to inform the research agenda. .
